Who is
The Artifactual Scholar?
G. A. Di Gregorio, the Artifactual Scholar, is an historian, archaeologist, and popular lecturer with a passion for telling the stories of our past. Mr. Di Gregorio has presented lectures on diverse historical and cultural topics at colleges and community centers throughout Eastern Massachusetts. He has also been a Guest Speaker aboard cruise ships on the Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay, and coastal New England. Since the start of the pandemic, he has used digital technology to present remote and virtual lectures to his audiences.
Mr. Di Gregorio is a Visiting Lecturer in the History Department at Bridgewater State University (Bridgewater, MA), and an occasional Visiting Instructor in the Anthropology and History Departments at Wheaton College (Norton, MA). In addition, he is a two-time award-winning producer of a local cable television and internet series, History Shorts with the Artifactual Scholar. (Many videos can be found on Mansfield Cable Access television and here Artifactual Scholar - YouTube) In May 2016, his work was featured in an Associated Press article, and published by news outlets across the country.
For several years, Mr. Di Gregorio worked as a professional archaeologist, conducting archaeological investigations throughout the Eastern United States. Also, he has served as a Park Ranger with the United States National Park Service.
